Click - Writerly Wednesday

CLICK

He knew he spent too much time staring at the laptop, planning. Since she left, it was the only thing that kept him from losing his mind. She walked out after two years together, and it broke his heart. Her words still echoed in his ears, I’ve found someone else and I love him.

His pleading fell on deaf ears as she got into her car and drove off, his eyes filled with tears. It wasn’t fair, it wasn’t right. He’d given her his life, made her his wife, and now she was gone with no more than a simple goodbye. There was no rhyme or reason to it, it just simply was.

Now as he sat there, staring at the screen, he knew what had to be done. “You can do it, just press the left mouse button and it will all be over. She’ll never leave you again.”
